Evil Ryu in scala 1/6 è il primo prodotto della giovane azienda di Singapore Kinetiquettes composta da un gruppo di individui entusiasti e con una grande passione per le figures ed i prodotti da collezione. Il team insieme ha più di 40 anni di esperienza nel campo dei videogames e nell’industria dell’animazione.
Avevamo visto in anteprima questo prodotto lo scorso anno durante la nostra visita alla fiera di Singapore STGCC dove la Kinetiquettes aveva un piccolo stand e presentava appunto questo loro primo progetto che subito ci ha colpito
Parliamo ora della statua. Si tratta a tutti gli effetti di un diorama che rappresenta Evil Ryu (殺意リュウ) pronto a sferrare la sua mossa Metsu Hadouken.
La confezione è molto bella con una grafica accattivante ed all’interno troviamo anche una busta con gli artwork. Ogni pezzo è riposto con cura nella sezione di polistirolo per evitare qualsiasi tipo di danno accidentale durante il trasporto e dove i due pezzi più grossi sono la statua stessa con un perno sotto un piede per una maggiore stabilità e la bellissima base.
La scala è 1/6 con le dimensioni di circa 34cm x 28cm x 31cm con una produzione di 300pcs al mondo (numerate). La copia in nostro posseso è un pezzo unico in quanto è la AP (Artist Proof) realizzata in polystone.
La statua è composta da 10 pezzi che vengono assemblati con estrema facilità, infatti sulla base possiamo poggiare la statua con il suo perno ad incastro facendo attenzione prima ad inserire il pezzo della cintura che è dotata di un perno, per poi proseguire inserendo le braccia. Troviamo la destra con il Metsu Hadouken dotata di un perno mentre la sinistra si inserisce grazie ad un magnete. Per ultimo possiamo inserire i capelli scolpiti che si incastrano anche questi grazie ad un potente magnete riposto dentro la testa. Sulla base che simula un tetto giapponese si dovranno poi sistemare i pezzi del tetto che si è letteralmente distrutto a causa dell’onda d’urto della Metsu Hadouken.
E’ stata ricreata una posa molto dinamica, curata in ogni minimo dettaglio e soprattuto con la “vecchia scuola” della scultura, non come molte statue di oggi che vengono realizzare in digitale, Evil Ryu è stata scolpita a mano con un’attenzione ai particolari incredibile.
Lo sculpt del viso è qualcosa di unico, possiamo vedere le pupille rosse colorate egregiamente, come anche un rossore intorno agli occhi per un’effetto ancora più realistico ma anche la stessa bocca aperta è incredibile non tralasciando nessun dettaglio. Gli stessi denti sono scolpiti alla perfezione come anche la lingua. Il tutto permette di ricreare un’espressione quasi “viva” di Evil Ryu pronto a lanciare tutta la sua furia.
La colorazione è superba come anche la scultura dei muscoli e dei vestiti che sono riprodotti in modo egregio, il Metsu Hadouken è realizzato in resina trasparente che simula veramente l’effetto del colpo.
Sul petto di Evil Ryu vediamo anche una profonda cicatrice (omaggio al celebre fumetto “Street Fighter III: Ryu Final” di Masahiko Nakahira, dove alla fine Ryu subisce un pugno nel torace da parte di Akuma, che lo trapassa) anche in questo caso scolpita egregiamente
Parlando del kimono è stato realizzato in maniera incredibile studiando ogni possibile piega del tessuto e ogni strappo il tutto riprodotto alla perfezione e sulla schiena vediamo il kanji ( 天 ten).
All’inizio Vi abbiamo parlato di un diorama, infatti la statua a tutti gli effetti è un diorama che si potrà completare con la prossima uscita di Oni Akuma, infatti le due statue potranno essere unite per simulare uno stupendo combattimento.
A corredo con il pre-order abbiamo anche trovato delle bellissime art print, del quale una realizzata dal talentuoso Gary Choo
In conclusione possiamo dire che è un pezzo veramente spettacolare, perfetto per ogni amante della saga di Street Fighter, ma anche per chi colleziona statue in generale. Uno dei pregi principali è la bassa tiratura che ricordiamo essere di soli 300pcs al mondo oltre alla perfezione della scultura stessa.
La statua può essere esposta in varie angolazioni, ma ovviamente la preferita è quella dove possiamo ammirare il viso di Evil Ryu.

Evil Ryu in 1/6 scale is the first product in the company of young Singapore Kinetiquettes composed by a group of enthusiastic individuals with a passion for figures and collectible products . The whole team has over 40 years of experience in the field of video games and animation industry .
We had seen a preview of this product last year during our visit to the fair in Singapore STGCC where Kinetiquettes had a small booth and showed precisely this first project that immediately struck us
Let’s talk now about the statue. In reality it’s a diorama of Evil Ryu (殺意リュウ ready to prepare his move Metsu Hadouken
The packaging is very beautiful with attractive graphics and inside there is also an envelope with the artwork . Each piece is carefully placed in the polystyrene to avoid any accidental damage during transport and where the two larger pieces are the same statue with a pin in his foot for added stability and a beautiful base .
The scale is 1/6 with dimension of 34cm x 28cm x 31cm with a limited production of 300pcs worldwide and our copy is an unique pcs because is the AP (Artist Proof) and it’s made in polystone.
The statue is composed of 10 pieces that are assembled with extreme ease , in fact on the basis we can place the statue with its pivot interlocking paying attention first to insert the piece of the belt that is provided with a pin , and then continue by inserting the arms. We find the right with the Metsu Hadouken provided with a pin and magnet while the left is inserted thanks to a magnet . Finally we can put the hair sculpted that fit these with a powerful magnet placed inside the head . Based on that simulates a roof Japanese will then arrange the pieces of the roof that has literally destroyed by the shock wave of Metsu Hadouken .
It was recreated a pose very dynamic , accurate in every detail , and most importantly with the ” old school ” of sculpture , not as many statues that are now implemented in digital , Evil Ryu was carved by hand with attention to detail incredible .
Sculpt the face is something unique , we can see the colorful red pupils very well , as well as a redness around the eyes to effect even more realistic but also very open mouth is amazing not forgetting any details. The same teeth are sculpted to perfection as well as the language . All this allows you to create an almost ” alive ” Evil Ryu ready to launch all its fury .
The coloring is superb as well as the sculpture of the muscles and clothes that are reproduced in admirable fashion , the Metsu Hadouken is made of transparent resin that mimics the effect of the blow really .
On the chest of Evil Ryu we also see a deep scar ( tribute to the famous comic ” Street Fighter III : Ryu Final” Masahiko Nakahira , where eventually Ryu undergoes a punch in the chest by Akuma , who goes through him ) again superbly carved
Speaking of the kimono was made incredibly studying every possible fold of fabric and every tear all reproduced to perfection and on the back we see the kanji (天ten ) , the symbol of ” Destruction “
In the beginning we talk about a diorama. As you can saw from the pics is a statue that in the future can be connected to the next product Oni Akuma and simulate a fighting.

In conclusion we can say that it is a truly spectacular piece , perfect for any lover of the saga of Street Fighter , but also for those who collect statues in general . One of the main advantages is the low circulation that we remind only 300pcs worldwide as well as the perfection of the sculpture itself .
The statue can be displayed in various angles , but obviously the favorite is the one where we can see the face of Evil Ryu .
